RSS veteran P Parameswaran passes away

Palakad/UNI: Veteran leader of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and director of Bharatiya Vichar Kendra P Parameswaran passed here on Saturday night. He was 93.

Born in 1927, he became a full-timer in the RSS at the age of 24 and remained an active campaigner of the Sangh all his life.

He was instrumental in popularising religious campaigns and discourses related with "Ramayana maasaacharanan" and "Bhagavath Geeta observance" in Kerala.

A respected and popular personality, the departed leader had been honoured with top civilian honours including Padma Shree and Padma Vibhushan.
