New Delhi, Apr 20 (IBNS) The opposition parties created ruckus in the Lok Sabha as the Land acquisition ordinance was introduced in the lower house of the Parliament on Monday.

Opposition members shouted slogans in the house over the issue.

Slogans like "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan" and "Take back the bill"   were heard in the Lok Sabha as External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj made her statement on the evacuations made from war-torn Yemen.

Amid ruckus, the House has been adjourned till 2 pm.

President Pranab Mukherjee earlier this month put his signature on the land acquisition ordinance, which was reissued last week after the Narendra Modi government failed to pass it in Parliament.

The ordinance seeks to make land purchase easier for industry and infrastructure development.

The reissued ordinance includes nine changes made when a bill to replace it was passed in the Lok Sabha last month.

The second half of the Budget Session of the Parliament commenced from Monday.
