Russia denies air space violation

Moscow, Nov 24 (IBNS) Russia on Tuesday claimed that the warplane, which was shot down by Turkish fighter jets , did not leave Syrian air space.

Confirming that the warplane crashed down, Russia's Ministry of Defence said: "#SYRIA Russian aircraft Su-24 crashed in Syria. According to the preliminary data, the pilots managed to eject from the warplane."

"#SYRIA During all flight time, aircraft was flying only within borders of Syrian territory. Objective monitoring data shows it," read another tweet.

Turkey on Tuesday said a warplane believed to be a Russian type SU-24 has been shot down on Tuesday for violating Turkey's airspace, media reports said.

The Russian type SU-24 was shot down by Turkish jets , reports said.
