Kolkata, Jan 20 (IBNS): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has sent a notice to Trinamool Congress (TMC) Rajya Sabha MP and editor of Hindi daily newspaper Sanmarg, Vivek Gupta in connection with its ongoing probe into the Saradha chit fund scam, sources said.

According the CBI sources, the central probe agency has sent the TMC MP a notice, seeking the transaction details between his media house and Saradha group.

"Through his representative, Vivek Gupta has sent us a message that he is outside West Bengal and will contact us in next 2-3 days," one senior official of CBI told IBNS.

However, no reaction has been received from Vivek Gupta so far.
