New Delhi, Mar 10(IBNS) The Supreme Court on Tuesday stayed the trial court proceedings in the Uber rape case, where a woman was criminally assaulted by a cab driver.

The Court stayed the Delhi High Court order allowing the accused to recall and re-examine 13 witnesses including the victim. SC also issued a notice to the accused and Delhi government on the victim's plea.

The court on January 13 had framed charges against Shiv Kumar Yadav, the accused, under various sections of the Indian Penal Code for alleged offences of endangering a woman's life while raping her, kidnapping with an intent to compel her for marriage, criminally intimidating and causing hurt.
