Security forces nab NSCN (Khongo) cadre in Nagaland

Guwahati/IBNS: Security forces apprehended a cadre of NSCN (Khango) in Nagaland’s Kiphire district.

Based on specific input regarding extortion and contraband smuggling by an underground cadre, troops of Assam Rifles, along with police representative, launched an operation at Kiphire town area and apprehended the cadre of NSCN (Khongo).

The nabbed cadre was identified as self-styled Lieutenant YangseoSangtam.

The security personnel recovered one magazine of  point 22 mm pistol, 1455 Alparolzolam tablets, extortion slips and other incriminating documents in possession from him.

The apprehended cadre alongwith recovered items were handed over to Kiphire police station for further investigations.
