Sena will join BJP-led Maharashtra government
He said they will run the government together.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is set to expand his council of ministers on Friday and 12 ministers will be from Shiv Sena. Of the 12 ministers, five will be of Cabinet rank.
Maharashtra Raj Bhavan was informed that the swearing-in ceremony will take place at 4 pm at Vidhan Bhavan.
It was learnt that as many as 20 new ministers are expected to be sworn in the Friday’s occasion out of which 12 will be from the Shiv Sena and the rest from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Both the BJP and the Shiv Sena, which were partners for 25 years, had parted ways in Maharashtra over disagreement on the seat-sharing issue just before the Assembly elections that was held last month.
While BJP got most seats in polls, they were short of majority and Congress ally Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) decided to unconditionally support the BJP, putting Sena in a sport.
