A meeting of the party leaders has been convened on June 1 in Mumbai where the entire issue will be deliberated and action plan decided.
Meanwhile, a team of local leaders lead by the Party Vice President Pramod Hindurao met Pawar on Tuesday in Mumbai and briefed him about the scene in Thane district and the measures that need to be taken on priority to improve the situation.
Hindurao said that Mr Pawar was really concerned about Thane district which has as many as 18 MLAs considered to be a major chunk and the party will make all efforts to get elected maximum of the MLAs from the district this time.
Presently, there are only four MLAs of the NCP in Thane district and the party wants to add up that in the coming elections and is formulating the measures for the same.
