Six killed, 40 injured after Bihar-bound bus hits car on Agra-Lucknow expressway

Kannau/UNI: At least six passengers were killed and around 40 others injured when a Bihar-bound private bus rammed into a car on Agra-Lucknow expressway on Sunday morning.

Police here said that the accident occurred near 148 cuts of the expressway under Saurikh police station area at 5 AM when the double-decker bus hit a stationed car.

After the collision, both the vehicles fell into a roadside ditch.

The bus was on its way to Bihar from Delhi.

The deceased are yet to be identified while the injured were rushed the Kannauj medical college hospital.

Senior officials rushed to the spot.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed his grief over the accident.

The CM has also directed the district officials to provide all treatment to the injured passengers.
