Pathankot, Jan 5 (IBNS): Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Tuesday said six terrorists, who had attacked the Pathankot air base, have been neutralised.

Confirming that the military operations at the base is over, Parrikar said while addressing a press conference: "Two recovered  bodies have been  burnt badly. DNA confirmation will have to be done to double check."

He said combing operations in the base is currently going on.

"The combing operation is likely to end tomorrow," the Minister said.

"We didn't compromise on security," Parrikar said.

He said the NIA has started investigating into the attack.

"The NIA has started the investigation. Let them collect all the information," he said.

The Minister said: "I can see some gaps (related to security) which will be cleared after the investigation is over."

India has urged Pakistan to take action against Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists based on its soil who targetted an Indian air base at Pathankot in Punjab, killing seven Indian security men.
