Social Media Day: PM Modi congratulates the youth for airing frank opinions

New Delhi, June 30 (IBNS) : Conveying his greetings to social media users on the Social Media Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday the platform has been playing a "key role" in democratising people's discourse.

"Greetings on #SocialMediaDay! The world of social media has played a key role in democratising our discourse and giving a platform to millions of people around the world to express their views and showcase their creativity," Modi tweeted.

The PM also congratulated the young netizens for airing their frank opinions and their innovating usage of social media. He urged them to carry on.

"I would particularly like to congratulate my young friends for their innovative usage of social media. Their frank method of conveying opinions is extremely endearing. I urge youngsters to continue expressing and discussing freely," Modi said.
