Sonia Gandhi slams BJP leader Kapil Mishra over Delhi violence

New Delhi/IBNS: Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday slammed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kapil Mishra over the Delhi violence which has claimed 20 lives, media reports said.

Addressing a press conference, Gandhi said, "A BJP leader has repeatedly made provocative statement and gave ultimatum of three days followed by the violence."

189 people have so far been injured in the clash which took place in the last 48 hours.

The Congress has also demanded the resignation of Union Home Minister Amit Shah over the violence. 

Gandhi said her party wants peace committee to be set up at every muhullas.
