SP fulfilling its promise to students even when its not in power: Akhilesh Yadav

Lucknow/UNI: Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday averred that his party is continuously honouring the meritorious students even when his government is not therein power, while the BJP has forgotten its election promises.

He accused the BJP government of neither offering laptops nor providing WiFi to educational institutions, as it had promised.

Yadav said that he is still keeping the promise of giving laptops to the meritorious students which were made during his Chief Ministership.

The Samajwadi government had then distributed over 18 lakh laptops.

He had presented a laptop to Sandhyika Srivastava, a student who passed class 12th with 99.5 per cent marks in the ISC Board, 2020 on Nov 17.

In the same sequence, the former CM also conferred a laptop to the meritorious student Sumit Kumar Tripathi, who scored 99.75 per cent marks in class 12, at the party headquarters on Thursday.

On this occasion, former Union Minister Salim Shervani and Samajwadi Party's national secretary Rajendra Chaudhary were also present.
