Spice jet plane lands safely in Srinagar after bird strike

Srinagar, Apr 28 (IBNS): A Spice Jet flight carrying 180 passengers on board suffered a bird strike on its nose while landing at the international airport Srinagar on Tuesday afternoon.

However, no one was injured in the incident.

 
"There was a bird strike on a Spice Jet flight SG160 coming from Jammu at the Srinagar airport in the forenoon," a Spice jet official told IBNS.
 
"The aircraft experienced bird strike on the nose while landing, there were 176 passengers and crew members in the plane when the incident took place and all those on board are safe,” he said.
 
He said that the aircraft was landed and the passengers, who had to travel onwards by the plane, were accommodated in other flights.
 
Adding that a team of aviation experts has arrived in Srinagar to check the plane.
