Storm fury in Uttar Pradesh: Death toll rises to 89 as rain, gale-force winds leave trail of destruction
Lucknow/IBNS: At least 89 people were killed and 53 others injured after a powerful storm accompanied by heavy rain, dust and strong winds swept across several districts of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday evening.

Prayagraj recorded the highest number of deaths, with 21 people killed.

Officials said restoration work was underway, although mobile network disruptions complicated rescue and assessment efforts.
All members of a family killed
Four members of a family, including a woman and her three daughters, were killed in the collapse.

Multiple fatalities reported in Badaun
In Siddhpur Kaitholi village under Bisoli police station, two girls, Mausami, 10, and Rajni, 9, were killed when a mud wall collapsed on a hut where they had taken shelter.
