New Delhi, May 25 (IBNS): Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Sumitra Mahajan might be named the new Lok Sabha Speaker, media reports said on Sunday.

"Senior BJP leader and eight-time MP from Indore Sumitra Mahajan could be named the Lok Sabha Speaker," NDTV reported quoting sources.

"Apart from Ms Mahajan, the other name doing the rounds for the post is Karia Munda, who was the Deputy Speaker in the 15th Lok Sabha," the news channel said.

Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony will be held on Monday.
