Sunitha's 'shame the rapists' campaign invites attack on car

Hyderabad, Feb 6 (IBNS) Hours after she disclosed identity of five rapists by posting their video online social activist Sunitha Krishnan's car was attacked by unidentified miscreants at Hussainialam in the old city on Friday.

The car was parked outside the ‘Home’-cum-office when some miscreants hurled stones damaging the car’s back side windscreen.

She filed a complaint with the Hyderabad Police following which a case under Section 427 of the Indian Penal Code was registered for causing mischief.

Police said   Hussainialam Additional Inspector Kiran, went to the spot and collected details, the ACP said.

Earlier,  Krishnan posted on YouTube the video of five men smiling while raping two women. She stated that she received the two video clips, which were being circulated through WhatsApp by the miscreants, through a friend. She cut short the videos protecting identity of the two victims.

She says she started a  campaign against these rapists requesting all the people to trace them.

Sunitha has appealed to the citizens and law enforcing agencies to help in tracing the culprits. She has also requested people to join the campaign and bring such culprits to shame.

"Soon after I launched the campaign  my car got attacked," Krishnan said.


"....happy I am on right track. If goons think they can intimidate me this way - take a long walk boss, I will report come what may I will track I will shame and I will report", she posted on her Facebook account.
