New Delhi, Aug 18 (IBNS): The Supreme Court has asked former Union finance minister P Chidambaram's son, Karti Chidambaram, to appear before the Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) on August 23 in an alleged corruption case, according to NDTV.

Karti said he was even ready to appear before the CBI but needed security.

The apex court has directed Karti to appear before the CBI  with all documents. Karti is even allowed to be accompanied by a lawyer but not during the questioning.

The Supreme Court on Monday stayed Madras High Court's order that had put on hold the look out notice issued against Karti Chidambaram

However, the top court will later decide whether the look out notice to be quashed or not.
