Surajit Kar Purakayastha to be the next Director General of West Bengal Police

Kolkata, May 30 (IBNS): Former Commissioner of Kolkata Police Surajit Kar Purakayastha, who is presently holding the post of DG and IGP of WB Criminal Investigation Department (CID), is going to be the Director General (DG) of West Bengal Police.

Present DG and IGP of WB Police, G. M. P. Reddy will retire from his job on Tuesday.

Purakayastha is likely to take charge as the new DG & IGP of WB Police on Wednesday.

Surajit Kar Purakayastha will continue his duty till Dec 31, 2016.
