Suresh Prabhu unveils new train Antodaya Express aimed at unreserved travel

New Delhi, Feb 22 (IBNS): Union Minister for Railways Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu inspected the newly turned rake of Antyodaya Express at Safderjung Railway Station, in New Delhi, on Wednesday.

The new rake of Antyodaya Express consists of 22 coaches.

The Railway Board's Chairman A.K. Mital and Member Traffic, Mohd. Jamshed were also present.

The Antodaya Express was promised during the 2016 Railway Budget presented by Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu.

The Railway Minister said, "The government's priority is to provide comfort and superfast travel to common man."

Antodaya means upliftment of the weakest sections of the society.

This long-distance fully unreserved superfast service is expected to run on dense routes, the media reported.

The train has a red and yellow exterior and includes facilities such as comfortable seats, water purifiers, bio-toilets, mobile charging points, LED lights, etc.
