Surgical strike against poverty if Congress voted to power: Rahul Gandhi

| @indiablooms | Apr 10, 2019, at 09:37 pm

Katihar, Apr 10 (UNI): Congress president Rahul Gandhi today asserted that Congress would carry out a surgical strike against poverty if his party was voted to power in Lok Sabha election.

Addressing an election meeting in favour of Congress candidate Tariq Anwar from Katihar here, Mr Gandhi said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had done surgical strike against poor through demonetisation. He said a surgical strike would be carried out against poverty and not against the poor if his party formed a government in the centre.

Mr Gandhi said that people would be given Rs 72,000 per year under ‘Nyay Yojana’ if his party was voted to power. He said that employment would be given to youths and those willing to start their own business would not be required to take any official permission for three years. Farmers would be given the remunerative price of their agriculture produce and businessmen would also be provided with all facilities, he added.

Enthused by Supreme Court admitting review petition on Rafael deal, Congress president Mr Gandhi asked why all thieves had the last name ‘Modi’, whether this was Lalit Modi, Nirav Modi or even Narendra Modi.
