Ahmedabad, Aug 19 (IBNS): Suspended Gujarat Police officer Sanjiv Bhatt, who had testified against then Chief Minister of Gujarat Narendra Modi in connection with the 2002 riots cases four years ago, has been sacked by the state government form his post.
"Finally removed from service today after serving 27 years in the Indian Police Service. Once again eligible for employment. :) Any takers?," Sanjiv Bhatt tweeted.

Bhatt was suspended in 2011 for not being present at duty without permission and misuse of official vehicles.

At that time, he was posted in Junagadh.

He had reportedly said that he could not attend the duty due to his mother's ailment.

Bhatt had also said since he was to appear before the Nanavati Commission, which was investigating the 2002 riots related cases, his presence was required in Ahmedabad.
