Suspension of parking charges at airports extended till Nov 28

New Delhi, Nov 22 (IBNS): The Ministry of Civil Aviation has decided to extend the suspension of collection of parking charges at all airports till midnight of Nov 28.

This has been done in order to facilitate the smooth movement of passengers.

The move comes in the wake of the Centre's decision to discontinue the old Rs.500 and Rs.1000 notes.

The government had earlier declared that old 500 and 1000 Indian Rupee notes, which it demonetised on Nov 8, shall be valid till Nov 24.

The old notes will be accepted by hospitals, petrol pumps/gas stations and toll booth, according to the new decision.
