Taslima Nasreen contracts COVID-19 even after not stepping out of her home for more than a year

New Delhi: Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen on Monday said she has contracted COVID-19 even after not stepping out from her house for more than a year.

She said she wanted to know the way she became COVID-19 positive.

" i haven't stepped out of my home for more than a year. Didn't allow anyone to enter my home. i was alone with a cat. And then i caught covid-19. Wish i knew how i caught it," she tweeted.

Taslima has been living in exile since 1994.

Several of her books are banned in Bangladesh.
