Tata Steel celebrates 155th birth anniversary of Dorabji Tata

Jamshedpur, Aug 27 (IBNS): Tata Steel celebrated 155th birth anniversary of Dorabji Tata at Sir Dorabji Tata Park in Jamshedpur on Wednesday.
Chief Guest Sunil Bhaskaran, Vice President, Corporate Services Tata Steel and Guest of Honour, Bhagwan Singh, Assistant Secretary, Tata Workers’ Union paid homage to the legend by offering floral tributes.
 
The function was attended by the senior officials of Tata Steel along with other Tata Group Companies, employees, office bearers of Tata Workers’ Union, senior citizens of the city and members of the Citizen’s Advisory Council.
 
In his address to the gathering, Chief Guest, Sunil Bhaskaran, said, “We at Tata Steel feel extremely happy to celebrate the birth anniversary of the great visionary, Sir Dorabji Tata whose dedicated approach and farsightedness gave shape to the vision of our founder Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata”. He also added, “Sir Dorabji was a great believer in the industrial development of the nation and his passion for sports made him one of the chief architect of the Olympic movement in India”.
 
Bhagwan Singh, Assistant Secretary, Tata Workers’ Union, said, ‘The real tribute to the legend Sir Dorabji Tata would be to imbibe the values and ideals followed by him throughout his life.’
