Ten killed in Bengal bus accident

Burdwan, West Bengal, Apr 10 (IBNS) At least 10 people, including two children were killed and 50 injured in a bus accident in West Bengal's Burdwan district on Friday.

Reports said the accident occurred when the bus overturned  on the Burdwan-Katwa road, nearly two km from Burdwan town.

The bus, heading for Mayapur in Nadia district was  carrying around 70 passengers.

The local people initiated the rescue operation by pulling out the trapped people from inside the bus.

The injured have been admitted to hospital where the condition of few of them is stated to be serious.
