Their evil agenda will never succeed: PM Narendra Modi condemns Pahalgam terror attack
Indian PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday said those behind the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir will be 'brought to justice'.
At least one tourist was killed and 12 others were injured after terrorists opened fire on them in Baisaran meadow, a popular destination that draws a large number of travellers from across the country every year.
Modi wrote on X: "I strongly condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured recover at the earliest. All possible assistance is being provided to those affected."

Those behind this heinous act will be brought…
"Those behind this heinous act will be brought to justice...they will not be spared! Their evil agenda will never succeed. Our resolve to fight terrorism is unshakable and it will get even stronger," he said.
Modi is currently on a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia.
According to reports, Modi spoke to Union Home Minister Amit Shah over the phone about the terror attack that occurred just months before the annual Amarnath pilgrimage begins.
India Today news channel reported The Resistance Front (TRF), a shadow outfit of Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba, has claimed responsibility for the incident.
The terrorists reportedly opened fire on the tourists when they were horse riding in the area.
The attackers reportedly asked about the religious identities of the victims before opening fire on them.
The Baisaran area can only be reached on foot or by riding horses.
Security forces and health officials have rushed to the spot after the attack.
The attack took place at a time when Jammu and Kashmir is seeing a spike in tourist footfalls.
The attack took place at a time when US Vice President JD Vance is visiting India.
