Thiruvanthapuram, Aug 10 (IBNS): Three foreigners suspected to have stolen a huge amount in a hi-tech ATM robbery in Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram have been caught in CCTV camera footage and a Romanian among them has been arrested in Mumbai, NDTV reported.

Footage shows the men entering the ATMs and fixing an electronic device, which was supposedly used to scan account details and pin codes of those who came to draw money. The details were used to make fake ATM cards that were used in Mumbai and Delhi.

The NDTV reports quoted police as saying that  at  least 22 people have complained that they received text messages on Monday about large amounts of money withdrawn from their accounts. The money stolen could amount to around 4.5 lakhs.

The reports said Kerala police may  ask Interpol to help catch the other two of the gang.
