At least three minors died after they drowned in the Burhi Gandak River in Bihar's Jagatsinghpur village, media reports said.

Initially, five children drowned in the river but locals managed to recover two of them.

Personnel of the SDRF and local divers later recovered the bodies of the children and sent them to Samastipur for postmortem.

"Three children of the Jagatsinghpur village went to Burhi Gandak river to bath. Two boys are of 12 years age and one is ten years old," Santosh Kumar, a resident of the village, told ANI.
