Three police officials dismissed for helping liquor mafias in dry Bihar

Patna, June 14 (TheBiharPost/IBNS): Three senior police officials have been dismissed for allegedly helping the illegal liquor traders in Bihar.

All the officials, who were posted with the Beur police station in Patna, were fired from service on Wednesday by the local deputy superintendent of police Rajesh Kumar, media report said today.

The dismissed cops include Vishwambhar Prasad, Sunil Kumar, both sub-inspector of police and Shrawan Kumar, assistant sub-inspector of police.

The action comes some five months after the police administration had shunted the entire cops posted with the police station on the charge of being hand in glove with the liquor mafias.

This is the first major and severe action against the erring cops after Bihar imposed total ban on sale and consumption of alcohol in April last year.
