TMC stands nowhere in Goa race, says Kejriwal; Mamata's party hits back
Panaji/IBNS: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Trinamool Congress, the two anti-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) forces, have locked horns in the race to triumph over the saffron brigade in the upcoming state polls in Goa where assembly elections are due to be held early 2022.
Holding a press conference, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP supremo, Arvind Kejriwal said on Wednesday, "I think you people give a lot of importance to TMC. I think TMC doesn't have even a 1% vote share as of now. It came to Goa only 3 months back, democracy doesn't work like this. You need to work hard, you need to work among people."
"You might give a lot of importance to TMC but I don't think it stands anywhere in the race," he added.
Hitting back at the AAP, the TMC, which is campaigning hard in Goa, indirectly called Kejriwal's statement as "political immaturity and desperation".
The TMC has put up a tweet which reads, "We firmly believe in WORKING FOR PEOPLE and STANDING BESIDE THEM through thick & thin. Those indulging in election forecasting & vote share predictions are simply reflecting their political immaturity and desperation.
"Let the people of Goa decide who should be taken seriously!"

In recent times, the TMC has welcomed several former Congress leaders including former Chief Minister Luizinho Faleiro to its party fold.
The AAP, a strong opponent of the BJP, is also concentrating heavily in the coastal state.
"I don't think TMC is going to get any vote," Kejriwal had said earlier.
