TN: 2 killed in Sivakasi cracker factory fire

Sivakasi, June 25 (IBNS): At least two people were killed and five others sustained injuries when a fire broke out at a cracker factory in Tamil Nadu's Sivakasi on Wednesday.

"The deceased were identified as S. Alphonse (55) and V. Muniyasamy (30), both from Periyar Colony in Tiruthangal," The Hindu reported.

The accident occurred around 5 pm at Munna Fireworks Factory in Vendrayapuram under Malli police station.

The cause of fire was not known immediately.

Fire tenders rushed to the spot immediately and doused off the fire.
