Today my house was demolished, tomorrow it will be your arrogance: Kangana Ranaut challenges Uddhav Thackeray in video

Mumbai: Hours after structures in her Mumbai office was demolished by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials amid a raging political war over Sushant Singh Rajput probe and arrests, actress Kangana Ranaut posted a video where she targeted Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray and said his pride will be shattered oneday.

In her one-minute-and-eight-second video, Kangana, who flew back from Himachal Pradesh to Mumbai, said: "Uddhav Thackeray, do you think that you have committed an act of huge revenge from me by demolishing my home with the connivance of movie mafia?"

"Today, my home has been demolished. Tomorrow your pride will meet the same fate," she said, attacking the Shiv Sena leader.

"This is the wheel of time. Remember, time does not remain the same and it keeps on changing,” she said.

Kangana posted the video with a caption that read: "Today, the Maharashtra Govt illegally broke down #KanganaRanaut’s house while she was on a flight to Mumbai, with only 24 hour notice. Completely illegal considering the Govt has banned demolitions due to Covid till September 30. This is what Fascism looks like."

She referred to the Kashmiri Pandit exodus issue and said she felt today  the pain the community had to undergo once (referring to the fleeing of the Pandits from Kashmir three decades ago to escape the Islamists).

"Today, I felt their grief," she said.

Kangana said she will soon make a movie on Kashmir.

"I will not only make a film on Ayodhya but also on Kashmir," she said.

Meanwhile, in a massive embarrassment to the Shiv Sena-led civic body, the Bombay High Court has stayed the demolition of the alleged illegal structure at actress Kangana Ranaut's office in Pali Hill here.

The high court has sought a reply from Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) over Kangana's petition.

The fresh row was triggered after a team of BMC officials reached Mumbai's Pali Hill and demolished the alleged illegal structures in her office.

The BMC had served a notice to Kangana a couple of days ago and asked the actress to furnish the document granting permission to build the concerned structure in her office.

Hitting back at the BMC, Kangana tweeted earlier on Wednesday, "There is no illegal construction in my house, also government has banned any demolitions in Covid till September 30, Bollywood watch now this is what Fascism looks like."

The demolition act has been preceded by Kangana's criticism of Mumbai Police's handling of the death case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Locking horns with the ruling outfit, Kangana had stated she feared to live in Mumbai to only get attacked by Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut, who had said the actress must stay out of the state in that scenario.
