Trader shot dead by unidentified criminals in Lucknow

Lucknow, Sep 22 (UNI): Unidentified criminals shot dead a local trader in Cantonment area, police said here on Sunday.

His servant was injured in the attack.

Senior superintendent of police Kalanidhi Naithani here said that street food trader Deepu (38) was shot dead by some unidentified assailants late on Saturday night when he was closing his shop.

His servant Pushpraj was severely injured in the attack.

The injured was rushed to the hospital. Pushpraj told police that two drunk men had some food from his shop and then refused to pay the bill. On being asked for money, they attacked Deepu.

A probe has been initiated into he incident. Police has taken footage from CCTvs installed in nearby shops.

The culprits will be arrested soon, police said.
