Trinamool legislator writes to Venkaiah Naidu complaining corruption

| | Feb 16, 2015, at 06:46 pm
Kolkata, Feb 16 (IBNS): West Bengal's ruling Trinamool Congress lawmaker Swapan Ghosh wrote to Union minister Venkaiah Naidu asking for his intervention in his constituency Siuri where he claimed funds have been stolen from a Rs. 10.36 crore central water supply project.

The embarrassment came at a time when the Trinamool Congress is practically jostling to check the growing influence of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state.

According to reports, Ghosh had apparently complained to his party leadership but finally wrote directly to the Central minister after getting no response.

Ghsoh also dared the party leadership to punish him for writing to the central government directly about corruption in his constituency.
