Trump offers to mediate on Kashmir during meeting with Imran Khan
Washington, July 22 (IBNS): US President Donald Trump has offered to help resolve the Kashmir issue between India and Pakistan, media reports said.
Hosting Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan at the White house on Monday, Trump said: “If I can help, I would love to be a mediator.”
“If I can do anything to help, let me know,” he added, according to reports.
From my point of view I can tell you that we have tried our best; we’ve made all overtures to India to start a dialogue. But we haven’t made headway as yet. Perhaps President @realDonaldTrump can play a role here :: @ImranKhanPTI #KhanMeetsTrump

The US has held for long that the Kashmir issue should be sorted by India and Pakistan bilaterally.
Trump also claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had asked him to help with the Kashmir issue.
Is Govt of India going to call @realDonaldTrump a liar or has there been an undeclared shift in India’s position on third party involvement in #Kashmir?
