Two road construction workers die in an accident in Assam’s Nagaon district

Guwahati/IBNS: Two workers engaged in a road construction were killed in an accident in Assam’s Nagaon district.

The incident took place at Kaliabar area in the central Assam district where a vehicle of the road construction company mowed down its two workers on Wednesday night.

The severely injured workers were rushed to hospital but they succumbed to their injuries.

The deceased persons were identified as Arabind Bangthai and Mrinal Timung hailing from Tegheria area near Jagiroad in Morigaon district.

According to the reports the deceased workers were engaged in the four lane road construction works at Kaliabar area.

Meanwhile, police have seized the vehicle and registered a case.
