UDF candidate K.S Sabarinadhan wins Aruvikkara by-election

Thiruvananthapuram, June 30 (IBNS) United Democratic Front (UDF) candidate K.S Sabarinadhan won the Aruvikkara assembly constituency by-election on Tuesday.

He won the polls by defeating his closest opponent M Vijaykumar by CPI-M by 10128 votes, officials said.

K.S Sabarinadhan  has secured 56448 votes.

M Vijayakumar received 46320 votes as poll results were declared on Tuesday.

Congress vide-president Rahul Gandhi congratulated  K.S Sabarinadhan  for his victory in the poll.

"Congratulations to K.S Sabarinadhan on winning the #Aruvikkara by-poll: Rahul Gandhi @Oommen_Chandy @VMSudheeran @KeralaPCC1 @INCIndia," Rahul Gandhi's office tweeted.
