| @indiablooms | Sep 10, 2019, at 03:10 pm

Mumbai: Five months after joining the Congress, actress-turned politician Urmila Matondkar quit the grand old party on Tuesday.

She has resigned over her differences with the Congress on a number of issues.

Urmila had joined the Congress just before the 2019 General Elections.

She had also contested the Lok Sabha polls from Mumbai North but failed to win.

Urmila's exit is the latest jolt to the Congress after the party suffered a massive defeat in the polls.
