Uttar Pradesh: Eleven-yr-old abducted, raped, murdered

Unnao, Jun 21(UNI) An eleven-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped, raped and murdered in this district of Uttar Pradesh, police said.

Tension prevailed in the area and large contingent of police force has been rushed to the spot even as the local villagers staged a protest over the crime.

The girl was sleeping with her father outside their house in Devgaon village under Unnao Kotwali police station area on Thursday night. The girl went missing after some time and on Friday early morning, her naked body was found around 100 meters away from her house.

Preliminary investigations revealed that said died of strangulation after being raped.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Vinod Kumar Pandey said the body has been sent for post-mortem.

Police suspect involvement of victim's uncle in the crime. During checking of his house, adjoining to victim's house, police found a shirt with blood marks.

Four teams have been set up to arrest the suspect.
