Uttar Pradesh road mishap leaves 20 dead

Lucknow/IBNS: A double-decker bus and a truck collided near Chhibramau area in Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh left 20 people dead on Friday, media reports said.

Some passengers are feared to be trapped in the bus.

Several others managed to escape from the spot.

The private double decker bus is operated by Vimal Bus Service.

Station house officer (SHO) Chhibramau Shailendra Kumar Mishra , “The fire tenders are trying to control the fire. There could be casualties as people are inside. How many are in there or how many are hurt is not clear. It will be clear only after the fire gets under control. It was a private and collided with the truck head-on.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the loss of lives in the mishap and tweeted.
