Uttar Pradesh: Woman killed by unidentified miscreants

Pratapgarh, Jul 1 (UNI) A woman was allegedly killed after unidentified miscreants slit her throat in Maheshganj area of this Uttar Pradesh district, police sources said on Monday.

According to sources, Suman (30), resident of Chikra in Maheshganj area, had gone outside her house to defecate at around 2230 hrs, on Sunday night.

Meanwhile, unidentified miscreants allegedly slit her throat with a sharp weapon, which led to her death.

The motive behind the murder has not yet been ascertained.

A case against unidentified miscreants has been registered into this matter, sources added.

Further investigation is underway.
