Want to see farmer's income getting doubled by 2022: PM

| | Feb 28, 2016, at 10:39 pm
Bareilly, Feb 28 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said he expects to see the income of farmers getting doubled by 2022.

"The country will mark its 75th independence year in 2022. We should all promise to double the income of farmers by that time," Modi said while addressing  ‘Kisan Rally’ here.

"This is not a tough task. We should all think of doing it," he said.

"I am asking all  state governments that they should work on a road map before them. I feel that then only my dream will be fulfilled," he said.

He stated Madhya Pradesh as an example and said the state once did not feature in the top five states of agriculture.

"Today, the state has witnessed a complete turnaround in the sector," he said.
