Kolkata/Birbhum, Sept 28 (IBNS): Three persons were allegedly killed during a clash allegedly between two groups of ruling party Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Monday at Bahiri village near Bolpur in Birbhum district of West Bengal, reports said.

According to reports, few armed TMC members were going to Bolpur from Bahiri village by an ambulance  which was bought from Nanoor's TMC MLA Gadadhar Hazra's fund.

The ambulance met one bike and one scooty near Nimtala More area in Birbhum district. The passengers of the bike and scooty were armed too.

However, they engaged in clash with each other. Few round bullets were reportedly fired during the clash. Three persons- Kurban Sk., Buro Sk. and Murtaza Sk.- were killed on the spot.

Police recovered the bodies from the spot and those have been sent to hospital for postmortem. One scooty and the ambulance were also recovered.

TMC Birbhum president Anubrata Mondal told IBNS: "The clash  occurred between local miscreants' groups. TMC was not involved in the incident. Killed persons were not TMC members."

Meanwhile, killed Kurban Sk.'s family has accepted that Kurban was an active member of TMC and follower of Gadadhar Hazra's group.

However, police have started investigation into the matter.  Nobody has been arrested so far.
