Kolkata/North Dinajpur, Sept 6 (IBNS): Three policemen were injured in a bomb blast at Itahar Police Station in West Bengal's North Dinajpur district on Sunday, reports said.

According to reports, police had recovered few crude bombs last week and stored those inside police station's store-room without defusing.

On Sunday noon, suddenly one or more live bomb(s) exploded somehow and three policemen including one Sub-Inspector (SI), one Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) and one civic volunteer were injured in the blast.

They were rushed to a local hospital and then shifted to Raiganj Hospital. They are being treated there in critical condition.

However, police have started investigation into the matter. North Dinajpur SP Syed Waquar Raza could not be reached over phone.
