WB: TMC-Cong workers clash over party office, several injured
Murshidabad, Nov 15 (IBNS) Several people were injured as violent clashes erupted between the workers of the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) and the Congress at Uttarpara area under Berhampore police station in West Bengal's Murshidabad district on Saturday.
According to reports, the incident occurred over a Congress office which TMC workers were allegedly attempting to capture.
A policeman was also injured during the clashes as the party workers attacked each other with sticks and bricks, reports said.
The clashes occurred in the presence of the police,reports said.
The police later brought the situation under control.
