We will fight corruption with all might: Modi

Leh, Aug 12 (IBNS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is visiting Ladakh and Kargil region on Tuesday to inaugurate power projects, said he would fight corruption in India with all his might.

"I want to assure the people of  India from this place that we will put all our strength to root out corruption," he said.

"There are also honest officers. We will work with them too. If we win the fight against corruption we will win battle against poverty," said the PM.

"Corruption is troubling us. People are angry. I assure that we will fight corruption and work with all those against corruption," he said.

PM laid the foundation stone for Leh-Kargil-Srinagar Transmission System in Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir besides inaugurating the Nimmo Bazgo hydel project as he promised development of the region.

Modi, who is the first PM to visit Leh after the Kargil war, is dedicating to the nation  two hydel power projects in Leh and Kargil in Jammu & Kashmir.

He is headed for Kargil now after Leh.
