West Bengal: 2 killed in road mishap in West Midnapore

West Midnapore/Kolkata, Aug 4 (IBNS): At least two persons were killed and 30 others were seriously injured when a speeding truck crashed into an oncoming bus near Midnapore town in West Bengal's on Thursday morning, reports said.

According to reports, a Keshpur to Midnapore bound passenger bus collided head-on with a truck on NH-60 at Giridhari Chowk area in West Medinipur.

One woman passenger of the bus died on the spot and another man was declared dead in a local hospital later.

Sustaining serious injuries, several others are being treated at Midnapore Medical College and Hospital.

Police have seized both the vehicles but drivers of the bus and truck are absconding.
