West Bengal: Section of Burdhaman Railway station building collapses, 2 injured

Burdhaman/IBNS: A section of the main building of Burdhaman railway station in West Bengal collapsed on Saturday evening. 

Two people have been injured in the building collapse. According to reports the injured have been rushed to Burdhaman Medical College. One of the injured is said to be critical.

Reports said the collapsed portion was under repair. The spot is close to Railway Enquiry window.

The incident occured around 8.20 pm.

Arrival and departure of trains in platform number 1 and 2 have been suspended.

The area has been cordoned off by GRP and RPF. Civil Defence personnel have arrived on the spot.

Meanwhile, the firefighters reached the spot and were removing the debris to look for more people trapped uder the collapsed building.
