Where are the promised "ache din", questions Owaisi

Hyderabad, Apr 9 (UNI) All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul-Muslimeen ( AIMIM) President Adauddin Owaisi has questioned as to where are the "ache din" (good days) promised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

At the meet-the-press programme organised by the Telangana Urdu Working Journalists Federation here on Tuesday, he also expressed unhappiness on the failure of the promise to provide five crore jobs to youth in the country.

On 12 per cent reservations to Muslims, Owaisi said that the Telangana Assembly had adopted a resolution recommending 12 per cent reservations and sent the copy of the resolution to the Centre. However, the Centre had not taken any action on the plea stating that the issue was before the Supreme Court.

Owaisi said that non-BJP, non-Congress party mostly regional parties would form the government after the election and added we will get the 12 per reservation for Muslims (socially backward) through the new government .

He said that the AIMIM was contesting the Lok Sabha election in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. He alleged that Mr Modi was following the ideology of the RSS.

Owaisi predicted that in Andhra Pradesh, Jagan Mohan Reddy (YSRCP) would win 20-21 MP seats and about 130 MLA seats in the general election to be held on April 11.

In the frustration mood, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu who is going to taste a defeat in the election was using abusive language, he said and also condemned it.

Owaisi asserted that Majlis was not a “B” or “C” team of any political party as commented by some parties.
